MERCURY MINE AND LACE SCHOOL IN IDRIJA
In the town of Idrija is a school for Lace. They invited us for a visit to show us the technique of making lace and we will have a chance to try ourselves. Before this visit we will have a guided tour in the Mercury Mine “Anthony`s Shaft”. It presents the hard daily work routine of miners, the precious cinnabar ore, drops of mercury and the unique and extraordinary underground chapel.
In between these two interesting events we will have lunch at Skafar Restaurant with local specialties.
