BASIC SLOVENE LANGUAGE CLASS
Join us and our amazing teacher Tatjana to learn basic Slovene phrases that will help you to get around Slovenia, and show Slovenians that you respect them and their culture.
ADVANCED SLOVENE LANGUAGE CLASS
If you are an expat in Slovenia and you can speak Slovene language, this club is the perfect opportunity to improve your level with a native speaker, learn new vocabulary and useful advance sentences.
Monthly book club discussions take place usually on the second Wednesday of the month. Books are read in English or individuals’ mother tongue, discussion language is English.
Let’s get together for an hour of fun English conversation where you can improve your pronunciation with native speakers, learn some useful phrases and widen your vocabulary.
Would you like to practice your French? Join Anne and her Advanced French conversation group. Enjoy 90-minute informal discussions about selected topics or articles with other francophone ladies. Unknown vocabulary will be explained, frequent mistakes pointed out and tricky grammar explained.
Cyndi Lauper was right when she sang: “Girls just want to have fun”! That is why we arrange monthly outing where we can meet at a local venue to unwind, enjoy a cocktail, and make a night to remember! Besides, it is always good to have a reason to revive that little black dress or maybe even bring out the dancing shoes…
Outings to concerts, the opera or ballet as well as private concerts organised especially for SILA-IWCL members.
On this activity SILA-IWCL will offer every week different sport: hiking, run for fun, yoga, shape up (outside), swimming…
Trips around Ljubljana and Slovenia once per month.
A monthly informal event to welcome our new members. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other better, assist newcomers to Slovenia and to start new friendships.
Exploring new cultures through the joy of good food is not only fascinating but also a great way to learn about other members’ background. Join us every month for a journey to another culture through culinary experience. Events include cooking demonstrations, cooking lessons, or food tasting.
