SILA is committed not only to enhancing expatriate life, but also to supporting those in need in Slovenia. In order to support those less fortunate, SILA collaborates with several social service agencies, the diplomatic and business communities, and various organizations in Slovenia to raise awareness and money.
Through its Bazaar and Fundraising Committees, SILA supports many needy charities all over Slovenia. The Bazaar and Fundraising Committees discuss requests during their meetings and recommends donations to the SILA board, who ratifies the recommendations. Any SILA member may become a Bazaar or Fundraising Committee member.
